Daniel MacDonald, the creator of DMS, has established himself as one of Australia’s most versatile shapers. Daniel has traveled the globe extensively, learning from some of the worlds most respected shapers and craftsman. Using this knowledge and experience, he has forged his own path with a focus on both performance & fun models.

Creator of the patented CARBON WRAP® technology, providing next level laminating techniques and EPS surfboard performance, Daniel has now released his latest INJECTION TECH construction. Maintaining a keen eye for performance and function with a passion for quality, DMS is designing surfboards in Currumbin on the Gold Coast, Australia and inspiring the future of surfboard design globally.

In 2018, Daniel also introduced FLEX 2 WEIGHT which matches the carbon flex in a surfboard to the surfers weight .This was tested by Michael Rodrigues during the 2019 Quiksilver Pro with amazing feed back. Maintaining a keen eye for performance and function with a passion for quality, DMS is designing custom surfboards in Currumbin on the Gold coast of Australia and inspiring the future of surfboard design globally.

While Daniel is a humble and shy guy, he has shaped boards for many of the worlds best surfers. Kelly Slater helped design the 'bat tail' on the actor model in 2011 when shaping at the DMS surfboard factory and many others such as Mick Fanning, Steph Gilmore, Bruce Irons, Matt Hoy, Heath Joske, Filipe Toledo and Matt Banting have ridden DMS test boards.

The DMS factory & Showroom has housed many top shapers, glassers, sanders, juniors & salesmen. Like all good businessmen, Daniel understands that the backbone of his company falls upon the shoulders of these workers.
